Train or private transfer?
Regional trains run between Milano Centrale and Tirano. They are a good choice if you travel light, are staying near the station and want the lowest price. Many travellers take them, and they work well.
A private transfer makes sense when:
- You are 3 or 4 people. €390 is one price for the whole vehicle: for 4 people it is €97.50 each.
- You have big suitcases. No stairs, no platform changes.
- You want door-to-door. We pick you up where you sleep and drop you at Tirano station or your hotel in Valtellina.
- Your timing is tight. We plan around your Bernina Express departure, not around a train timetable.
Not sure? Send us your plan on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly if the train is enough.
How the transfer works
- Send your pickup address in Milan, the date, the time and the number of passengers.
- We confirm the price and the pickup time.
- You confirm with a deposit through a secure payment link.
- Your driver meets you at the door and drives you to Tirano.
The drive usually takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and your pickup point.
